This work is inspired by the “castelleres”, Catalan human towers listed as UNESCO intangible cultural heritage.
A symbol of solidarity and perseverance, they here evoke the challenges of settling in a new place. Although the artist’s migration to Barcelona was chosen, it required genuine grounding. Over the past two and a half years, supported by encounters, Ségolène has been building her own “Barcelona castell.” « Aquí está lo invisible » — a phrase highlighting all the hidden ef forts behind establishing new roots, achieving a goal, fulfilling a desire, or creating a home.

Cette œuvre s’inspire des « castelleres », les tours humaines catalanes inscrites au patrimoine culturel immatériel de l’UNESCO. Symbole de solidarité et de persévérance, elles évoquent ici les défis liés à l’installation dans un nouvel endroit. Bien que la migration de l’artiste vers Barcelone ait été un choix, elle a nécessité un véritable enracinement. Au cours des deux dernières années et demie, portée par les rencontres, Ségolène a construit son propre « castell barcelonais ». « Aquí está lo invisible » — une phrase qui met en lumière tous les efforts invisibles derrière l’établissement de nouvelles racines, l’atteinte d’un objectif, la réalisation d’un désir ou la création d’un foyer.
